Page operations between documents

You can

  • copy selected pages and paste them by using the Copy and Paste commands or drag-and-drop

  • move selected pages from one document to another by drag-and-drop.

To copy pages from one document to another with Copy and Paste

  1. Open your documents.

  2. Select the pages to be copied either in the Thumbnails panel, or in the Document Manager panel.

  3. Select Copy from the Edit menu or from a shortcut menu.

  4. Switch to the other document where you want to paste the selected pages.

  5. Select Paste from the Edit menu or from a shortcut menu.

  6. You can paste pages to an empty document.

To copy pages from one document to another by drag-and-drop

  1. Open two documents.

  2. In your first document,  make your selection either in the Thumbnails panel, or in the Document Manager panel.

  3. Drag the selected page(s) onto the title bar of the second document in the Thumbnails panel. The contents of the Thumbnails panel changes and the thumbnails of the second document will be displayed. The active document remains the source document, only the thumbnails of the target document are displayed.

  4. Press and hold down the Ctrl key while dragging the mouse with the Omnipage cursor singcopy Page operations between documents  or  Omnipage cursor multcopy Page operations between documents cursor shape to the desired location in the Thumbnails panel.

  5. Release the Ctrl key and the mouse button if the page(s) are at the right place.

To move pages from one document to another by drag-and-drop

  1. Follow the steps from 1-3 described above for copying pages by drag-and-drop.

  2. In the Thumbnails panel, drag the mouse with the Omnipage cursor singmove Page operations between documents or Omnipage cursor multmove Page operations between documents  cursor shape to the desired location.

  3. Release the mouse button when the page(s) are at the right place.
