Document Manager
The Document Manager summarizes your document; each row represents one page. Columns provide status and statistical information, with document totals. Drag column dividers in the title bar to adjust the width of columns. Define columns for display, their widths and order in the Customize Columns dialog box from the View menu. An icon shows page status: acquired, recognized, proofed, edited, saved. Move the cursor onto an icon for a thumbnail page image. Click a row to open its page. Move pages by drag and drop. Select multiple pages with Shift+clicks or Ctrl+clicks for deletion, moving or re-recognition. Enter searchable keywords in the Note column.
Status icons
The Page column displays a status icon and a page number. The Status column contains the page status displayed in words:
Acquired: The page image has been acquired, either from scanner or image file. It may have zones placed manually or from a template. The page has not yet been recognized.
Recognized: The page has been recognized, recognition results have been placed in the Text Editor. The page has not been proofread, or proofreading was cancelled before the end of the page was reached.
Recognized, proofed: This page has been recognized and proofing has reached the end of the page.
Modified: This page has been recognized and the text has been edited or formatting has been changed.
Modified, proofed: This page has been recognized, proofed and the text has been edited or formatted.
Saved: This page has already been saved.
Pending: This page has stored unprocessed zoning changes. When these changes are processed, the page status returns to its previous value.
Bookmarked: This page has been bookmarked.
The current page is shown with an icon.
Hover the cursor over the status icon to view a miniature image of the page.
The other columns present statistical and information data: the number of characters and words recognized on the page, the number of reject characters and suspect words, the accuracy percentage, the acquisition and recognition time, the reading speed, the image resolution, size and type. Document totals are given for columns where this is meaningful.
There is a separate column for notes where you can enter searchable keywords or comments. Click the Note cell to enter a short text. Choose Edit Note… from the shortcut menu to enter longer texts. Use keywords in the Go to Page dialog box (Edit menu) to find pages quickly.
You can define which columns of information you want to see in the Document Manager. Choose Customize Columns… in the View menu for the Customize Columns dialog box. You can also specify the width and order of the columns. For information on this, and what each column offers, click here.
