Despeckle image: Select this to have spots removed from images automatically. If it is deselected you can still remove spots from an image manually with the Despeckle tool.
Deskew image: Select this to have all pages straightened automatically, if necessary. (Not available for the Load Digital Camera Files step.)
Look for facing pages: Select this to process facing pages of an open book as two separate pages even if they were scanned in one step. (Not available for the Load Digital Camera Files step.)
Keep original image resolution: Select this to keep original resolutions for grayscale and color images entering the program. Do this if you need high quality image export, for page image saving and for images embedded in recognized pages. Deselect this to have grayscale and color images reduced to 75-150 dpi.
Auto-crop: Select this to have margins detected and reduced to a minimum; this may resize pages with different margin settings.
Clean borders: Select this to remove scanning shadows, spots and marginal notes from page margins.
Remove punch holes: Select this to remove the effects of punch holes from the page images.
Password: Type in the password.
Open as Image: Use this option if the recognized text of a PDF file is not satisfactory. For this option to take effect, reload the PDF file with this option selected.
Use Tags: Use this option if the automatic layout analysis (paragraphs, tables, graphics) during auto-zoning is not satisfactory. For this option to take effect, reload the PDF file with this option selected. PDF tags contain formatting information that OmniPage can use. The option has an effect only on tagged PDF files.

The PDF options are not available for the Load Digital Camera Files step.
Blank Pages
Skip blank pages: Drop these during pre-processing. If you select this, blank pages cannot be used as document separators (see below).
Sensitivity: The is a setting for blank page detection. The default is 50 in a range from 0 to 100. The higher the sensitivity, the less likely it is for a page to be declared blank; for instance with sensitivity at 100 the page must be absolutely clean to be declared blank.
The following options appear only if you started from the Batch Manager.
Create new document
At each blank page:
Select this option to create a separate output document each time a blank page is found at input time. This has no effect if Skip blank pages is selected as a pre-processing option. A sensitivity setting can be made for blank page selection.
For each image file:
Select this to create a separate output document for each input file.
The option selected under Create new document will be displayed under Output file options in the Workflow Assistant – Save panel. You cannot change this option on the Save panel.
