Loading image files

You can create image files from your own scanner, or receive them by e-mail or as fax files. OmniPage can open a wide range of image file types, see Supported file types. If a document is already open, loaded image files are inserted as new pages in the location you defined in the Process panel of the Options dialog box. The most usual location is after the last page.

Omnipage pro Loading image files

In OmniPage Professional, files can be imported from Microsoft SharePoint, Hummingbird, iManage or ODMA sources. They can be imported into jobs from watched mailbox folders.

Input image files should typically have resolutions from 75 to 600 dpi, but 300 dpi (both horizontally and vertically) is recommended for optimum OCR accuracy. The minimum image size is 16 pixels on any side. The maximums are 28 inches (71 cm) and 8400 pixels.

Use the Process panel of the Options dialog box to specify whether grayscale and color images should be loaded with their original resolutions or not. Black-and-white images always retain the original resolution. Maximum image resolutions for saving can be specified separately for each file type in the Converter Options dialog box.
