Creating barcode cover pages

A barcode cover page can be printed for use in workflows with scanner input. The cover page can be saved as an image file to start workflows with file input arriving in specially designated watched barcode folders. Barcode cover pages must be created by OmniPage.

To print a barcode cover page for scanner input:

Select Workflows from the Tools menu.

Select a scanning workflow containing a saving step in the Workflows dialog box.

Click Print Barcode Page (available only if a suitable workflow is selected).
A print dialog box appears ready to print the barcode page.
To save a barcode cover page for file input:

Select Workflows from the Tools menu.

Select a workflow with file input containing a saving step in the Workflows dialog box.

Click Save Barcode Page (available only if a suitable workflow is selected).
The Save As dialog box appears.

Save the barcode page. By default the file type is TIFF.

Close the Workflows dialog box.

The barcode cover page file must be copied to the watched barcode folder before the input files arrive to be processed.

You can also use the File-it Assistant to create scanning workflows with barcode cover pages and print or save the cover pages.
